Alright guys, I am currently helping out my buddy with a build on his 240sx.

A little about the motor build:block was Bored .020 over for CP Pistons, and the block was acid dipped. Freeze plugs replaced.Eagle Rodsall new bearings/gasketsARP Hardware (Rod and Main)

So now we have the bottom end taken care of, and now we are working on the head.We are getting Brian Crower stage 2 cams for sure, and either buying a new head, or getting this head rebuilt/cleaned (major sludge). Not sure if we are going to go with OEM Valve springs/retainers or if we should upgrade to Brian Crower products there also? Also getting an Xcessive intake manifold

To make a long story short, he is looking to put down a lot of power. Which is why we are rebuilding the engine with all quality parts.

Money is NOT to much of an issue, and we will spend the extra to get QUALITY parts.

So we went ahead and started looking for turbos yesterday, and basically came to a blank on which setup would be best. I figured I would come here for some input.

We were looking at the Garrett GT3582/the GT3076, and the AMS GT35/GT33.However, to be honest I am not quite sure which would be best for our setup. He wants a fast car for a weekend car, and be able to take it to some local road tracks to let it rip. The local drag strip will also be utilized.

I also pulled a blank on the manifold...Who makes the best manifold for a larger gt series turbo? Or whatever you guys recommend!

Links would be awesome!

Thanks!Tony

GT3076R will put down 500whp. Its a great turbo for power and response. (im running one =P )

A borg warner s256/s258 would also be a great choice. The s258 will spool up slightly later(~150 rpms) than the gt3076, but have the capability to flow for 600 hp.

For a turbo manifold id go with the full race twin scroll mani if moneys not an option.

Dont get stuck on the GT-R series turbo. They have all the hype, but in reality the Borg Warner is a better all around choice IMO. They will create more HP at the same amount of boost than the GT-R(higher flowrates), have a higher surge line, can run more boost and create more HP than the 'same sized' GT-R turbo. The GT-R will spool between 150-300 rpms faster. Also, the Borg Warner is rebuildable, while the GT-R is not.

And the Borg Warners have a T3 flange? And where can I look into buying a new Borg Warner turbo?

Thanks!Tony

Yep.

Uhh this might sound kinda bad.. I sell them heh.

My friend owns a turbo shop, timsturbos.com, and i sell turbos for him on the side. Still though Borg Warners the sht, do some research on them people love these extended tip turbos.

Check out Bullseye power's weppage, they are a main distributor for them though.

Also if you want a quick crash course for the borg warner turbos check out my FS link..

I agree with sunnys14. GT30 is great for the KA and responsive. I rode in his car and its uber faster than my ka-t with a 20g turbo.

S25x has practically the same response time with a lot more head room.

Borg Warner FTW...This isnt the fastest spooling turbo but 498whp @ 23 lbs is impressive. If i ever get away from the cheap holsets i will get a BW.

Here is his setup and a couple vids.

Engine: Crower Rods Wiseco Pistons 9:1 (.040) ARP Head studs, Main studs Crower 264/264 Cams (only head mod)

Turbo: Xcessive Manifold Borg Warner S362 .70 A/R Turbosmart 38mm Wastegate
