I don't like taking my car to the shop. I am debating if I should take the bumper skin off and put some heat where the plastic bend. Then I would take it to the shop so they could paint it. I was also thinking about getting a new bumper skin.

Sorry to see such a mishap on your baby. I think we've all been there. I'm not familiar with adding heat to fix the issues. It looks like you will need a new lower grill insert piece also. I would recommend a professional shop for a job like this....just my two cents.

Bro you need to talk to some one that does painless dent repair. They can pop that and maybe save it. I would not do the heat unless you combine cold air from a air can.

here are some better pictures. The only time I take my car to the shop is for inspection. This is why I am thinking about taking the bumper off or buying a replacement. Then I would take it to the shop to get painted

If you want to get these dents done by yourself it is possible, but you have to remove the whole bumper assembly and depending how handy you are will also reflect the outcome, all you need is heat gun and different sizes spoons ( tea table whatever fits for certain ding/dent ) once you remove the bumper put it on saw horses heat the paint carefully ( not too close and long) you dont want to burn through, just to get it nice soft elastic then heat back side a little and push it in with the spoon. As for the scuffs you can touch it up and or try to polish them out if the are not too deep.

Getting a new bumper is always an option , he can try to get it fixed atleast from the pics the damage doesnt look so bad.

I've pulled out a dent in urethane with my wife's hair dryer, then polished the scratches out.
It's possible with some caution and patience.

$285 shipped on eBay. Color looks like a match. Shop will probably charge you $300 if not more just to repaint your existing bumper.

That bumper is in even worse condition than his. It has a crack on the bottom

Looking more closely, I think you might be right.

once the weather reached 50 degrees I will go outside with a heat gun and try to smooth it out. A new bumper cover is $334 plus shipping. I am considering all options. Would the body shop prefer I bring in the bumper on or off the car? I know one advantage would be no masking off to do.
I received my trunk lip spoiler today. The shape and color looks perfect. It came with 3m tape and 2 small nut and bolt for extra security I assume. I am looking for a lip spoiler for my front bumper so they all could get painted together.

Hey atlM35, yes, in Gwinnett. A little more than a mile from 316 off Collins Hill Rd.

And you?

Looks like we're neighbors. I'm off of Collins Hill at Camp Perrin.

I Think you :) should try a heat gun or high power hair dryer then
take 1500/2000/3000 grit to the bumpber after the compound and buff/polish
