So I just finished a transmission swap on my 1995 240 and all went well. I installed lightweight flywheel one piece steel driveshaft which may slightly contribute to my problem so I figured I'd throw it in. Also am using automatic ecu.
Anyways. I didn't have this problem right away. But one time I was turning a corner just after starting my car on a cold morning and it stalled. Confused I pulled over and started. Died right away again. So I gave it some gas and it kept stalling till it fully warmed up. Then it ran fine. It now has started stalling when coming to stops. Putting clutch in and just idleing it will bog out sometimes. ONLY sometimes though. Other times it runs great. Now it is also hesitating when I give it has sometimes mostly in higher gears it seems. I have clean maf and throttle body and don't think I have a vaccume leak anywhere. This is my first project car that I want to work on myself so I am by no means a pro. Thanks for any input much appreciated

What is your idle speed? Also, check your fuel pressure, that can sometimes cause that. Check your TPS sensor as well as your spark plugs.

I wonder if you have a sticky/dirty idle air control valve...

^^^ Another valid possibility. Easy to remedy too. Remove and soak in gasoline, lol.
