Hello,

I'm looking to improve my 03 G35's performance.

I will be doing spark plug changes soon and also been looking at ztube & stillen intake upgrade.
People seem to like the combo but it's hard for me to decide where to go.

My current goal with the car is to make it sound better - especially in lower rpms - , lose weight, suspension upgrade.
The car has over 100k and previous owners have not done very good job maintaining it. I will have to replace some things eventually but it runs okay. I think engine needs some loving.

Can someone with more experience with this car throw some recommendations regards to ztube/intake upgrade or any other bolt on engine upgrade?

Thank You!!

Power is obtained with more inflow and outflow via the motor allowing for more combustion. You are already working on the intake side so I would suggest high flow cats and catback. At that point you should look to a tune. There are cams and such if you want to go further but I would not continue with N/A mods but would look directly for boost if you what that much hp.

From weight you can save via lighter wheels. Otherwise you can probably rip stuff out to make it lighter....just remember safety if you decide to pull out a sawsall :)

@audtatious
Thank you for your reply.

From what I've found out so far, I heard that intake actually doesn't do much other than making the car a bit louder. Also with the z-tube, I've found some clips of G's making some cool noise. Not sure it's worth spending 200+ on it though.
I could just replace the filter and use the money to do something else that'll do more for the car.
What do you think? I've been wanting to change the seats to lighter/racing oriented ones, lighter wheels in near future, perhaps an exhaust upgrade.
I need to look into high flow cats and catback. Little to no knowledge on those.

I will be replacing the brake system this weekend with Stoptech drilled and slotted rotors and pads. Hopefully they send the right one...

I have a Stillen Gen 3 Intake and High Flow Cats, and Ark Grip cat back exhaust.
After an Uprev dyno tune my car is putting out 305 HP at the wheels (probably 370-375 @ the crank).
This roughly an increase of 40-45 HP from stock.
Just bolting on the parts produced +25 HP. It took the Uprev tune to get an additional 20 HP.

The obvious answer here is a turbo charger for each cylinder and stickers. Lots and lots of stickers.

The more GReddy and Type-R stickers/badges you put on your car, the faster it will be.
