I have a 2001 Pathfinder. Today the fuse on ECCS2 (10amp) burned out. I figured out this was due to a faulty idle air control valve solenoid. There was a bad smell of burning electronics in the cab. I suppose from reading the MOFSET on the ECU has burned up. Any recommendations on how and where to get the ECU fixed/replaced? Thanks in advance.

Circuit board medics is good and several r50 owners have used them. Make sure and replace the iacv, gasket, and I’d bypass the coolant lines to the throttle body as well or you’ll burn out the next ecu too.

I used an ebay service for $98 with shipping one way. Mailed the ECU out on a Tuesday and had it back on Friday fixed!

I used Circuit Board Medics a couple of years ago, I believe it was $325. I was satisfied with the result until I read that the common replacement part can be obtained for a few dollars or less and can be DIY replaced if you have decent soldering skills.

Interesting, I just saw one in the junkyard yesterday. Are they relatively generic to the engine and platform or are they chassis specific so you can't just plug a spare in and go?
