Hey I could use some help locating the rear o2 sensor wires. The guy I got the car from put test pipes in the car without installing o2s and now it is throwing the codes because there are no rear o2s. I am working on installing o2s in the test pipes but I can't find the wires running to them. anyone know where to start looking besides along the transmission tunnel?

Thanks for the reply, I found this one later last night. http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/300zx/1996/ec.pdf Says that they go under the seats. next day off I'll be pulling the seat to check. on a side note. I checked my timing this morning and it was at 10 degrees. Changed it to 15 but I wonder why someone had it that low.

The EL section shows you the wiring diagram which lets you find a common point, find the wire and trace it through the loom.

I found it, I'll post some pics later. Now I can't find any downstream o2 sensors to buy for this car. I bought some, Turns out they are the upstream o2s. I'm going to hang on to them for when they go out. So now I need to find some 4 wire downstreams. Can I use Pathfinder o2s? Didn't some of them come with Vg30de's?

I found some on rock auto on closeout, Only 4 left. I picked up 4 for the price of one of those. Since they are in a easy spot to change I thought I would get as much life out of 4 cheapos as 2 good ones.

Its not just about life, often with OBD2 systems, especially early ones the system would be very sensitive and the cheap ones wouldn't perform within the required tolerance, I lived through this issue with a few late 90s cars. Its not a guarantee that you'll have the issue but if you start having weird failures and codes do keep that in mind. otherwise congrats rockauto is generally really good to deal with.

Thanks, I got them installed yesterday. So far so good. Had the shop custom fit a stillen 2.5 inch exhaust as well. Man the turbos spool way faster. might get new mufflers though. these hang down like melon launchers. miss the stock look but not the sound.

Yeah I prefer the dual exit mufflers myself.
