Classic "sleeper" is the best mode, especially if it's for your wife; as original, fully functional, reliable and safe as possible.

With so many things that can go wrong on the J30 as they get older and an emphasis on preventative maintenance, there shouldn't be a lot of time or cash left for stylin' mods, plus there aren't many available aftermarket parts either.

Congrats on the J purchase! I agree with GerryO, keep it clean and simple. Make sure the car is in good mechanical shape before putting money into the visual stuff. That being said, here are a few picture threads:zerothread?id=331891http://forums.nicoc ... ?id=298139

The J30 is a tough car to put custom wheels on. Aftermarket wheels tend to look really good or really bad, very few wheels fall in between. 93jdirty's car is done up nicely in the second thread. Tinted tails & wheels look good.

You could try this style:

That poor J.

I couldn't resist.

Seriously, I am going to get these rims in 15".

15" only because I have new tires & don't what to add an additional @ $500 for a wheel upgrade.

Helo 825 Tease in chrome:

Keep in mind my J is black w/ black tinted windows & chrome trim around the windows.

What do you think?

Yes I like those. A simple 5-spoke looks good on the J. The 18 seems to fill the wheel well nicely too.
