So a buddy of mine works @ a machine shop (CNC), i saw him do a run of oil block adapter for KA's and seeing as we have lack of such parts, i asked him if it were possible to do a line for us CA guys.

Pretty much i will give him the OEM oil block assembly of my motor, he'll do his magic on the CAD, and set us up...

here is a link to the previous run he made for KA's:http://zilvia.net/f/group-buys....html

the the lazy bastards heres the info:
SkullWorks rep wrote: These will allow you to: - relocate your oil filter for ease of access- run an oil cooler to protect your engine during track days- run an oil feed line to your turbo on your KA-T project.

The material has already been delivered and we plan to beginthe manufacturing process this weekend. From there we expect parts to be ready to ship within a month.

FEATURES:- OEM fitment, bolts directly to the engine block- CNC machined from billet 6061 Aerospace grade aluminum- Hard anodized to prevent corrsion- Double viton o-rings to seal the oil return neck- 3 1/8-NPT ports for gagues (pressure, temp) and/or a turbo feed line- 2 teflon coated steel plug- Made with pride (and cheap beer) in the USA

PRICING & PAYMENTS:The price for this Group Buy will remain the same as the original:$145 including shipping and paypal fees.$135 if you live in Socal and wan't to pick up.

Following the expiration of this group buy, the remaining parts will be sold at $175 shipped and paypaled.

The units will ship via USPS Priority mail and will take roughly3-5 business days to arrive.
and yes im aware since our motor's are already turbo, we dont need the extra oil feed line...

-pretty much we need 10 people intrested minimum...-price would roughly be the same as the KA models-the more people intrested and pay, the faster these will be made

Id figure it be another oppurtunity for us to have a nice piece...quality and style...

sweet part is there no import fee's and its made here in the US of AYE!...lol

Discuss

P.S. i will send him a link to this thread so he can personally chime in and answer questions for you guys...i really wanna make this happen...and yes my name and deposit is already on the table for this...

Pretty nice.....

but what advantage does it have over a $30 spin on adapter from Summit other than the extra ports for gauges?

I don't think there are really any advantages for us, other than it looking significantly cooler.

I wish there were some non-grainy less-than-9000x9000-pixel images of the product in question though. The ones on there are kind of difficult to navigate.

HOWEVER

The tag line "Made with pride (and cheap beer) in the USA" pretty much sold me.

I won't be in a financial situation to purchase any parts for my engine until mid-May, so if you are wanting to do this thing then I could jump on the band wagon. If not, I will have to let it pass, like so many other cool parts over the years...

honestly, to me, the advange would be it being less of a clutter and easier for mounting an oil cooler, last i remember. im currently running the glow shift adapter for my gauges. personally i dont like how much room i have to work with... with this adapter, u eliminate the oil block assembly, bolt this straight to it and run ur oil cooler lines much cleaner...

to me, having fat hands, makes it worth the price tag...

and yes, this obviously wont happen over night, and i am expanding this to other forums to get some more feel for it...and the company is currently working on making evo brembo brake brackets and other stuff... the only way these will be made is if there a minimum of 10 people forking cash over and its get the ball moving quicker...

Matt's a bit slack at up-dating his site.

People who have bought them found then from this thread in NS.com;

http://www.nissansilvia.com/fo...97846

Or through my build thread.

Oh and he isn't offering the filter part of the kit that is shown in that thread as you can buy generic 3/4x16 filter block a lot cheaper than he can make them for.

EDIT!!I thought that you were aware of them which you were because you commented in that thread;http://www.nissansilvia.com/fo...94174

My Bad.to me; "ohh man, can i have one" didn't seem like a serious query about purchasing one.

I'm not anything to do with Growly Custom Machining other than it is my brother that owns the company and i do some of the designs for the CA stuff as i can use the programming software as it's very similar to AutoCAD.

I don't organise the sales, and now if people PM me i'll give them my brother details and let them get in contact with him. Everyone the PM'd me and i forward them on got their brackets.

I once tried to act as a middleman and tried to organise some other parts on here for some other members as Matt isn't a member on here but it is too hard to relay the info constantly and it's just easier for people to get in contact with him directly.

One thing you will learn if you start trying to take orders for a company it that you will be constantly d!ck around by people that in the end had no intention in following through. I thought that it was a CA thing (And here in Aust' it kind if is because CA's are the cheaper varients and therefore you're selling to mainly tight arses) but i set up a group buy on a major skyline forum down here and although i got 15 people expressing interest only 5 people ended up forking over cash.

I got an email from you asking about the cam gears but never got an email about the oil block.

Anyhow it doesn't matter now.
