Hey nicoclub. So I need to buy a few items and I'm pretty sure asking for advice is the first place to start.
2012 altima coupe 2.5s
First of all, I need coilovers. I found a shop not too far away selling megan street series for $800, is that a good price?
Also, which is better, CAI or SRI? Can't get the K&N typhoon since it's not legal in california.
Also need exhaust and header. Not looking for anything too loud or showy but I don't want something quiet either and preferably good HP gains.
I couldn't find the marketplace and I'm not too sure who the nico vendors are for these kinds of things.
Besides that, my car is pretty much stock so I'd appreciate any suggestions or advice. Thanks!

800 is usually the cheapest you'll find Megan's. I've heard good things about them.

Now I'm going to break your heart. Sri and cai really only give you noise. Even the best cai might give you a 2% gain. You need to pay for some tuning if you really want it to benefit you. Uprev is very popular.

There is a full parts listing when you enter the altima coupe thread at the top of the page. Happy modding!

P.s. exhaust will net you minimal gains as well. Headers and tuning are your best bet for gains without forced induction.

The Stillen exhaust is not too loud but not too quiet and they barely give any HP. Stillen sells headers too for the 2.5s

thanks for the advice guys!
So I'll just forget about the CAI and SRI for now then.
And stillen, nismo, or greddy was probably what I was going for.
How about rims? Anyone have anything they want to sell?

SRI intake may not provide much power gain but it will give you a nice growl :bigthumb:
Between the stillen, greddy and nismo, i would go with 1.Nismo 2.Stillen 3.greddy Tic (tie for #2 spot if its the Greddy SE)
I just took off my wheels, not really selling them BUT if the right offer came along MAYBE :chuckle:

Does anyone know what kind of rims these are?

And Irvxing-thanks! Yea I was thinking nismo too, even if it's just for the noise. And your rims have got too many spokes for me :)
And do you know if they make the stillen front fascia for the 2012 model? I couldn't find it.

Gotcha!
Yeah, just search parts for 2010 models on stillen site.2010,11,12 all use same fronts and all altima coupe share the same fenders, side skirts and rear bumper.

I'm personally not a big fan of it. They used a bad color to display it aswell

The best exhaust I heard on a 2.5 is the LSD exhaust... as for headers, I think Stillen is the only company that makes them. They're not street legal in Cali but people have them anyways.

I looked at the videos and yea. That's probably exactly what i was looking for, thanks!
But would the exhaust get messed up if I get megan coilovers?

Depends on the style of the exhaust. Some hang down much lower there the axel back begins and that will cause your exhaust to scrape. I dont believe that should be an issue with the Nismo exhaust though.

If you get LSD or Top Speed pro-1 exhaust, it will definitely drag. Luckily for you they stopped making both for now.
