i had a question for anyone interested. don't know if it's already been asked, especially since it's been about a year since i visited these forums. since the vert 240 is a rare model, do you guys think it might be worth more later on in the future? maybe like a classic? i'm just wondering because when i had my 240 last year, a guy approached me and commented on my car and told me he was interested in it. he also told me that he's a car collector and he's never seen a car like that.

We're well on our way to having these cars become classics. I know we've already gotten recognition by some insurance companies as collectables. The relatively low number of cars built, plus their age, and the low number still on the road today.. put together with the incredible demand for 240's makes this a very high demand car.

I know that I've seen an increase in the value of your average used 'vert in the last couple years.. You used to be able to get the for $2200 to $2500 on average with some great deals even cheaper.. Now it seems that the going rate is around $3000 or more.

Price is definitely going up. When i was looking to buy my car about 2 years ago I used Kelley Blue Book to find out how much they where going for. Now I recently looked just for the heck of it and its about $3400 for exellent condition and $2600 for fair condition all stock. Thats about $1500 from 2 years ago. usually car prices go down on KBB, but the 240 verts went up. I feel happy i own one.

too bad i sold mine early this year . i ended up buying a 95 bmw 325i convertible. i like how it drives and the way it looks but, in my opinion, you can't compare to the 240. it's lighter and handles better. that's why i want to sell my 325i and get the 240 again. i'm actually planning on keeping it this time.

You should've gotten m3. Well, I still wouldn't give up my 240 vert for bmw. We have nice cars ruuning around in my area, but believe it or not, my car is the one getting all the attention at the stop light. I love to see people's faces when they are looking at my car... Most of you guys know what I mean.

Yup! I get stares even though mine is completely stock. I actually ended up having a 30+ minute conversation with a guy in the parking lot the other day.

I gotta say I did good in picking my first car hehe. She's definitely a keeper.
