Post

Hello,
I have a german Z31 non-Turbo from 1984 with 170 HP. I Need new brake calibers for the rear. It seems impossible to get the correct one´s here in Germany, Nissan can not deliver and all we got from sparepart dealers are wrong.
It seems that Nissan built in german models with non-Turbo the same brake as for the turbo modells here.
My car have brake disks in the rear which are vented, 20 mm thick and the Diameter is nearly 290 mm.
All calibers we get here are only for the 10 mm thick brake disks?
I looked at rock Auto, they have alot of calibers for the rear, but most no technical Information. I wrote them a mail and asked for help, but the reply was not very helpful.
I found calibers from cardone, but I do not know if they will fit.
Are the Turbo modells from you have vented and 20 mm thick brake disk in the rear?
For answers I would be very happy, beacuse I am lost here (again) in Germany with no help from Nissan.

Thanks for help

Best Regards

Frank from Germany

Here is AZ Zbums site,http://www.az-zbum.com/information.brakes.shtml lots fo great info there. Looks like we only got 282mm vented rear rotors, and the corresponding calliper was used only on the 87-89 models. You stated yours are "nearly 290" so are they 282? If so rockauto has a number of choices for the 87-89 300ZX, both the n/a and turbo got the big rear brakes.
