Hey guys.

Looking for one of the hydraulic cylinders for my '94 vert. It went bad and shoots fluid all over when I try to open the top up.

Found a Nissan parts site that sells it for $125 just about. Part number is K8177-6X121

Well, since I'm cheap and poor, and saving for a Silvia and SR20 conversion ( :) ) , I want to see if anyone has one for sale, cheap or whatever. Everyone says to find one in a salvage yard... yeah, not happening around here LOL

Also, the top does not go up or down when I hit the button.. but I hear the pump working. Im guessing that I lost too much fluid. Is this correct? How do I add fluid? What type of fluid do I use?

The FS/WTB thread in Vert section:

The WTB section of NICO:

Best luck will probably be a junkyard, ebay, etc.

The fluid is just oil, don't remember the exact type, but its probably in the Vert FSM supplement:

Not hard to just replace the o-ring seals at the top of the cylinder just screws off.
There is post on here with pics somewhere.
