From what I found out while replacing the one on my M37x these are largely compatible between many models. For my M37x I ended up slapping the used front cross member from a Q70 that was only missing some paint and slightly tinged with rust on.
The model number for the original cross-member on the M35x and M37x is 544B2-EG300 afaik. It can be grabbed from some years of other Infiniti cars and baby SUVs: EX35, EX37, G25, G35, G37, M35, M37, M45, M56. The AWD versions of course as the RWD ones have quite different front cross-member designs.
The model number of the newer design is 544B2-JK51B. I don't see any info from a quick search that it's compatible with the 2008 M35x, but it fit on my car so maybe there's just a small bit of modification required at the least?
I ended up going with a used part since my car made it to 137k miles with the original(from what I know) cross-member. If you wanted to make a used cross-member look sleeker I'm sure someone else knows how to spruce them up with a bit of repainting and such. Be careful with the bolts; on my car the ones at the tips needed extra care.
(Also: just realized that I'm not in the M37 section, all still applies to the best of my knowledge though!)
