Those guys are in Canton and I believe there is a post saying that they just got three clips in. You should give them a call.

Quote »3200 for complete clip, very high quality, front steering wheel forward.[/quote] That's a bit high, don't you think! Hell, I can sell someone two complete motorsets for that price and they'd still have $400 left over for some upgrades; or is this for an RB25DET clip because an RB20DET clip isn't worth that much on it's best day. Now, if these clips are fitted with wicked engine work, sick suspension, complete sylvia conversion, and low mileage, then I'd consider the price.

A bit of selling advice to pass on to your friend, the RB20 is nice, but for $3k you can have a complet RB25. He needs to work on that advertising price because only a fool would buy them for that price.

indeed, i am.

most likely next weekend, or the week following during my spring break. it's been sitting pretty on the stand for weeks now. Have to take the wiring harness off and put the other one on, because it looks healthier, change out the turbo and do some other things prior to install. sucks being 20min away from the car and parts during the week, with no way to get back to work on it till the weekend.

Fantabulous.

Just let me know 'cuz I'd really like to get a feel for things seeing as I've never done anything even remotely close to an engine swap before. If all goes as planned, my clip should be in by next weekend. I'll probly spend most of that weekend/week pulling the set out and replacing some gaskets, thenstarting the swap the weekend following. If mine goes down first, wanna grab your bro lend a brother a hand? I'll buy ya some Wendy's. :)

Ok, just got off the phone with Michael from jarcoinc.comsound like a very nice guy, and i ask for the engines.I'll be getting CA clip from him, but the catch was that's it's an Auto, he'll include 5 spd bell housing with the clip as well. now, does the N/a DOHC CA 5spd transmission fit??? or maybe if i swap Ka 5 spd transmission with CA bell housing??? What should i do??? and does it have to do anything with the ECU to swap it to 5 spd?? any input will be welcome... thanks C

i ran an auto ecu on my converted 5spd s13 (until half the clutch diaphram left the bell housing). the only issue i came up w/ while searching for the swap on the KA was a sticking idle when you let off. It would hang at 1000-1200 for a little while when coming to a stop. other than that...

I'd use the KA transmission with the CA bellhousing... I've heard bad things about the CA18ET trannies being too short, but if you can find a RWD CA18DE Silvia transmission it would work fine as well. They're all basically the same thing :pface

any KA, SR, etc. rwd transmission with the CA bellhousing will work fine. let me know if you want a 5spd ecu when the time comes, since ill have a standalone by then and i have an extra ecu to begin with. hell, may have the ca to 240 comverted wiring harness as well. let me know when you get ready to do this and ill see what ive extra. good luck with the CA.

not sure what ill want...the one not in the car is tuned and will of course run more than the stock one i have in the car right now. probably not going to ask that much though. the auto ecu will work alright. just has some stuff you may find annoying, who knows, you may not even bother replacing it.
