Just bought my 90' Z about a month ago...

I was looking at the body kits but it seems I havent found anything I like. Since in my opinion they are too flashy. Trying to not change too much from the stock look.

I did a quick Photoshop of an example of what im looking for, if not this shouldnt be too hard to make myself.

Front Corner Add On's ?

Image

Im also buying Louvers for my 300zx as ive read on the forums here some of you were curious what a Z32 would look like in them. Going for Road Warrior Style for events I attend at the desert.

Heres a Vid of me at the Last Event if anyones curious:

Well as far as bodykits go, your going to get 3 answers on here.

1. There are only 3 front bumpers we like, J-Spec, Greddy Gracer, and the Escort racing one that is very similar looking to the J-Spec, it just has a different lip if im correct.

2. There are not many of us that like sideskirts, most dont go well with the body of the cars.....There are several exceptions such as TG's Red 300zx, Tommy's White Z and nsrZ32's White Z

3. Same answer as number 2.

As for vers.....it would be interesting to see, but i would never do it. I dont like louvers on anything anyways.

And corner add-ons? Never seen these for our Z's

I dont plan on touching much the sides trying to keep it simple and corner add ons make a big difference in the style Im looking for.

Guess ill have to make em' myself.

No problem. Well i suppose if you had the time it wouldnt be that hard to weld/fiberglass some corner add-ons. That would also be interesting to see.

Here is the facebook page as well as their website:

http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/wastelandweekend

http://wastelandweekend.com/

They had originally planned to to it every other year but it seems that the assistant organizers want to to it every year, and therfore parting with the Actual Director Person named scarlett harlett who originally started it. Heres her Myspace link to the original 2009 event: http://www.myspace.com/roadwarriorevent

So im not sure how its all going to work out when 2011 rolls around.

Anyways long story short its basically an Event where everyone goes to a dry lake bed and camp for the weekend in a post apocalyptic theme.

There is one in a few months from now at Soggy dry lake in California Turns out they even filmed a apocolyptic movie there called priest soon to come out.

Replica Mad Max Cars etc etc....

Check out the links all the pictures are from the 2009 event. I wasnt gunna go since my Z car is not finished but i might just take my dirtbike.

Heres an Actual Vid of the event They had 2 of the Actors from the original movie come out "Wez" and the "Lady in white":

Mad Max theme play and babes, wow :naughty:

Im currently redesigning my zed also, the bumper I pasted here is the design Im currently trying to construct... notice our gap opening is similar. I like your photoshop, just like you wanted, its still stock looking but nicer. If you want to get a little Mad Max, feel free to use my photoshop or do something more radical... worse comes to worse, you can always revert back to stock.
Image

These corner add-ons look interesting too, you could possible take them off your Toyota and tape them on the zed for a trial basis... please share this if you do :bigthumb:

As for the louvers, You should do lots of photoshops before you go ahead with it, or if you have extra funds think about the following hatch as a base too.

True that and Thanx,

Im sure ill add a few more lines here and there but got the basic structure going.
Kool Zed Design u have going

As for the corner add on's ill take pictures when I do, I did put them on by hand and it is impressive. :dblthumb:

As for the red Zed with window hatch tub it might end up nicer than louvers just for the fact if u added more gills they would be tucked away, Between the post. Therefor giving a deloreon look. Instead of just putting louvers over the glass, Like on my toyota.

I would like the Tail Gate Tub more if it was made to look like louvers.Though my budget would be around 200 dollars + shipping :)

Heres a pic of 300zx 2+2 louvers from sfxperformance. They dont really specify if they wont fit on a 2+0,
The 2+2's look nicer.

I realize the 2+2 is longer But Is the Rear Hatch Glass the same size as a 2+0 ???

They Go for a cost of around 200 dollars.

The glass is very much smaller on the 2+0. Basically everything from the front edge of the door back is different between the 2+0 and 2+2.

Hey Mad Max... Check eBay. They have add-ons for the rear bumper corners, I don't remember for how much, but they do have them.

Count me as one of the people who would really like to see that on an actual Z. Particularly if I could see what the visibility was like from the driver's seat once it was installed. Either that, or the notchback Ferrari style vertical window hatch replacement. That would be pretty slick, too. Hell on carrying capacity, though.

Aha, I'd never seen those pictures before, so thanks.

I'm not sure what I think. I think I like the basic look, but painting them the same red as the body of that car? I know I don't like the way that looks, for sure.

Louvers should be black, period.

Sorry for delay guys.....

Busy with school started at Fullerton College Taking Automotive,

I Can See Why It Doesnt Work, My General Rule Of Thumb Is I Stay Away From Huge Spoilers.

Louvers Worked on My 92 Toyota Paseo Because All I had were spoiler ends, which Looked like a Fin on the Side of the car.

Ill try and find a Pic of that.

Having a sneak peek here is great so I know I can Make it work. Maybe even with the stock spoiler as ive been giving it much thought.

Thanx For the Pic! :dblthumb:

Is That A 2 Seater?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe those are for the Z31 300zx... I've never seen a set made for the Z32, but I do think they would be very cool...

No I havent,

:gotme

Nevermind Found The Thread, Defenetly An Interesting Approach. Unfortunately its looking like I might have to cut the Lower Half And Add My Concept.

Currently In the Process of Trying To Get An Engine for My Z For 80$ with a Head Gasket Leak, I have At Least 10 hours of Labor Ahead Of me. :rotflmao

Got My Car In Good Condition With No Engine Or transmission

At The Moment Im "Strategically" Gutting It. Will most Likely leave alot of the Top Half Lightweight Black Plastic Panels.

Keeping it Somewhat pleasing to the Eyes still. :gapteeth:

Not bad, it would be bad a** if it replaced the glass space in my opinion.
