I recently bought a 93 240sx vert. It's seems in pretty good shape for a 93 however the floor pans are rusting on the passenger side. I believe it's considered the rear pan because the actual hole is in the back seat. I can stick my finger through the bottom of the car and touch carpet The only place I've been able to find that offers a replacement for sale is here http://www.parts.com/nissan/19...s.cfm I don't know if they actually have them in stock or they are easy to deal with as I've never purchased any parts through them. I was just kind of wondering if anyone else here has replaced their floor pans and if they have any advice that will make the job any easier. I know it's just some cutting and tack welding and then painting so it doesn't rust again. But anyone that works on cars knows that things never seem to go as planned. Anyhow any info would be great.

If the rest of the floor pan looks good, you can always just cut out the section that is rusted & weld in replacement metal...

I had thought about that but it's on the corner so it it seems like it would be a tough fit. I figured I might as well do it right if I'm going to put the time into doing it.

I just did a repair in my floorpan,I simply cut out a piece off of my old parts car, and welded it in. So it was already pre-formed.

Maybe find a partout where someone can cut out the piece you need?

Finding a part out in good shape is your best option. I patched mine, which was in the corner. It came out pretty well all things considered. Since I wasn't doing a resto, I wasn't worried too much with making it look factory.
