hey I'm new to these forums and don't know exactly where to post this but I just picked up a 93 240sx hatch and I'm looking for a sr20det front clip somewhere near Long island, New york. Anyone know of any shops that sell clips around here? the only one I know of is japanese engines inc. in New jersey but that's quite a trek to tow a clip back here and the cheapest clip they have is 3 grand. any info will be appreciated.

Look in the rwd sr section at the several threads that involve where to get the sr clips.

Why do you want a SR20? The KA is VERY useful. Check the KA-t forum. With the IAP or Nsport kit, you can make more HP and TQ than the SR swap. Also, the stock block on a KA can pull at leat 400whp reliably.

Same argument can be made for the SR. In the end it all really depends on the initial condition of the engine you start with. I can point you in the direction of many folks that have had fist sized holes punched in the side of their KA making less than 400 due to a bad initial starting point and just as many SR's with spun bearings because of bad condition engines.

Either way to 400, expect to spend some cash.
