Looking for a Suggestion of Red to go with for my 240sx

Wish I was talking about a red top!!!

I've decided to go with a red paint for my 240sx instead of a blue similar hondda's electron blue and those sorts....simply because it seems like every second import owner around is using that colour.

Theres not one red 240sx where I live

Anyone have a recommendationas to what shade or paint code to use? Also a pic if you have one. I'm looking for a very rich colour, also hopefully something that won't break the bank either.

btw I want RED, not a wine or other off colour...arrest me red.

what about the stock red? i dont know the code for it however.

OWN3D brian, the codes would be in variety dependet of your car.. there is cherry red pearl= AH3, then theres(quite common) Hot red=526.. there ya go dude, good luck and by the way stock colors are awesome. I wouldn't paint my S13 any other color besides The stock one.ok thats it.

stock color Aztec Red = AG2came on 91-94 240sx's

Ultra Red = AJ4came on 95-98 240sx's

those are the two normal fire-engine red type colors that came on the 240

My '93 is Aztec Red. I like it. I wouldn't really call it "fire engine red" though. It's a bit richer and darker than what I'd think of as "fire engine red".

I've never seen a red S14 in person, and it's tough to get a good feel for a color from a picture on the computer.

if your looking for actual red red red, then Aztec Red may be what u want. if you have ever seen a red firetruck, this is almost the color

this is my car back in january when i first got it, the actual color is slightly lighter than what my camera made it show up as, but its close

i think it really goes with the black trim well, cause black + red just works.... the one thing it doesnt go well with on the other hand is silly plastic hubcaps :oy:

Thanks for the replies, I guess I'm looking for more red than orange... know what I mean?

I find I see some reds that look more like a colour with a tinge of orange than a nice rich colour of red.

the new VW jettas and GTI's come in a really nice red, i think the kind of red your talking about. my 240s red, i never heard of red 240s being rare, litterally every 240 in my town is red, not including mine and my 2 freinds that are red i can think of 3 other ones.

i parked next to a red vr4 and a red z3 and my aztec red was quite a bit darker and a little more orange than those two.

Aries's 240SS is a beautiful red/burgundy...it's like it cant decide...it's really deep red i guess...awesome IMO
