..other than the RS-R Ex-Mag. Which might be the one I end up buying.

Just want to be sure if there are any other companies.

I just got caught for the 2nd time for illegal exhaust but I got out with a warning. My first time I got issued a ticket because the cop caught me passing a car at 8k rpms :D

Cop also told me the county is starting to crack down on illegal exahusts. The decible thing wont hold up in court either. The state law says no exhaust can be modified from factory. But I cant run a 2" exhaust on my turbo car :(

But so far the RSR is my top choice and many people say its very quiet and its 3", which is very perfect :icesangel

BTW, my current exahust is the Megan Racing 3" catback with an Enjuku Racing test pipe and Greddy 3" downpipe. The noise is not that bad but the tip/canister itself stands out a lot.

the HKS sport exhaust is very stock looking. two dual tips like the stock SE trim muffler. its rather quiet too. its only a 2.5" exhuast though, and im not sure if you can get it in 3".

You could try our resident custom exhaust dealer - looks like you can specify what you are looking for and the quality looks really nice, too. Just a thought

I have the Borla cat-back, it looks pretty close to stock w/twin outlet tips and sounds really good - deep bass note, not fart-canish.

Only problem is, it appears to be discontinued from their website--but it looks like Nissan Motorsport may still be offering it for sale.

I've seen/heard the brm s14 exhaust on Paul's car... NOT EVEN CLOSE to stock sounding/looking!

kevin are you in Orange county? I sure hope not:( I'd hate to have to get rid of my greddy sp before I even use the damn thing!

I think the idea with BRM though is that you can have it custom-made. Like either a fart can style or stockish looking. They can also add mutiple sizes of resonators to help with sound levels...

...and you may want to double-check that whole "state law" on modified exhaust - I'd be VERY surprised if that was true, and I think i could get you some case law to fight that through SEMA.

Ok AZ, I found the state statute.

http://www.flsenate.gov/Statut...20293

It basically says, if you modify the exhaust, it cant be louder than stock.

Yea im going to sell it as soon as i buy the RS-R or if BRM can make me something quiet yet effective in performance.

Im running a stock 2" downpipe which makes the exhaust louder. When I tried my friends 3" downpipe, it quieted the exhaust down significantly.

if you go with all 3" piping, you'll lose some of the noise. the race pipe makes the car a little louder. i'd go with 3" dp, 3" cat, and some 3" exhuast. that way you'll still have good performance, but not be too loud.

Yea Sean, im in O.C.

It just that this is the third time ive been told about my exhaust.

1st time was a ticket, 2nd time I got pulled over for something else and the officer mentioned my exhaust and whats going down soon, 3rd time I was driving normal and the officer busted a U turn and followed me and pulled me over for my exhaust and told me the same thing officer #2 told me.

Im going to ask my neighbor when I see him, which is also an O.C cop, whats really going on.

But regardless, my exhaust really stands out and I would like a more stealthy one. Plus im going to move my boost gauge away from the A pillar to down by the radio. Then the car will be ultra strealth. :icesangel

Cops have nothing better to do huh? I just got pulled over for my exhaust but I think it was worth it. The resonator rusted through and fell off on the highway!!!!! Anyway, the cop said that my exhaust is too loud but didn't give me a ticket.

I asked him this: "Why don't you pull over all of those god damn Harley bikers with their crap @s$ load exhaust that you can hear three streets over?"

The response: "Do you want me to right you a ticket?"

Whatever, I guess the mentality is that since there are so many bikers it would be impossible to give them all tickets. Or is it something else?

That's weak. I hate bikes with loud pipes.

Anyway, we can fab up a nice system with a 22" resonator. As long as you're not running a header, it should be pretty damn close to stock-sounding.

That statute would be so easy to pick apart in court... Hell, a rusted stock exhaust is louder than BRM's quietest system.

Blitz Realize TT - 76.5mm (3") - $544

5Zigen Border III - 60mm ($465) and 70mm ($565)

Both can be found here: http://www.store.yahoo.com/pha....html

Exactly, my exhaust has a loud deep tone, until I put on a 3" downpipe. While little ricey Hondas buzz around 100x louder.

Anyway, if I decided to go with BRM, ill let Paul know to get incontact with you.
