Hey guys, i am in need of a SOHC KA block to rebuild my SOHC high compression motor. I have forged JE pistons at 89.5mm and dont want to replace them by boring my block again.

My question is this: can i use a DOHC KA block, or a KA block from a newer *(97ish) pickup? I know the DOHC KA has oil squirters, these would still work with a SOHC, yes? Any info would be great.

I believe it is possible, you might have to swap a few things off the DOHC block for SOHC parts though.
