The guys in Dealer Part Department know who buys the most parts. The techs know who might have a home business or a small shop as every competent tech once worked at the dealers.
Creating a method to speak to them without their fearing for their jobs may take some doing!
I doubt their are 10 independents in US that might be deemed qualified as just to hard too get enough volume to see an early Q come in every week to keep fresh...................even dealers don't see this happening.
You might try looking for an early 90-96 300z shop as they will have a Consult I at least. You will probably have to supply the correct FSM for your year! But at least they are used to buying dealer parts and Nissan theory of operation.
It is all about weekly familiarity and a mini junkyard outback.
The difference between dealer labor and a shop may be less than $30/hr and parts cost the same unless supplied by you.
Unless you need $5,000 in work spending an extra few hundred [6 hours] at a dealer is a good start.
Our average ticket is $338 for all jobs which might mean on a Q $600 [3 hours + $350 in parts] might be more typical.
No way to escape the build up to $3000 per year if you fall behind.
