It really depends on how much degradation you will accept. If they are not armored, headlights are sandblasted from day one and just get duller and duller.

Q45tech suggested once to try polishing the glass with Bon Ami or Barkeeps Friend.

Before the price hike, they were not that expensive from Joe. But once you get a new one on one side, the other one will not look right.

Maybe I will try to find those BMW headlights that sorta fit the Q. It would be a good time to make the investment.

I wonder what model BMW those are from?

Thought it might be an E46, but I don't keep up with models.

Just spoke with a neighbor about his ML320 and how it cost $200 to replace his burned out dash lights. Only 92K miles, too.

E39= 98-02 5 series, which is what we want. E46 is 99-01 3 series..
