I'm in the market for a low-mile KA24DE motor, preferably in the SoCal/Phoenix area and with less than 50,000 miles on it.... I know someone out there has swapped an SR into a '97 or '98 S14 and has a ka24de around.

I lost compression in my 3rd and 4th cylinders while driving on the highway at high RPMs about a month ago. Compression tested the motor and cyl 1&2 showed 180 while 3&4 showed ~90... The car didn't overheat, I removed the head, the gasket and the block appear to be in perfect condition-rings seem to be fine (leakedown test was performed). Anyone have an idea what could be the cause if the head isn't warped (taking the head in to get tested for that tomorrow)

The motor has 107,000 miles on it so I figured I'd see what I can get a low mile replacement for.

Boy do I wish you were asking this a few months. :( I plan on selling my DE in a few month to make room for my SR, and mine has 64K on it. Perfect condition. Just a kinda weak clutch.

Nick.

you can go to salvage yards and get them about 500+ but new or in that good of condition can cost UP to 2300
