I am going to be installing a KA24DE into my 92 s13 coupe. I have been searching for 2 days now for a write up on either rebuilding or how to replace all the gaskets on a KA motor.

I want to replace all my gaskets and take out my secondary butterflies and do as much to refresh the motor before i put it in because i have had issues with KA motors in the past and i don't want to deal with it this time.

Thanks for the help guys

its something that you really want to have experience doing if you are going to attempt it alone. find someone local with experience to help you. how extensive of rebuild are we talking here?

really not a rebuild.. i am pulling a motor out of a crappy hatch shell i have and putting it into a coupe shell i just bought. I just want to replace all the gaskets while i have the motor out of the car.. getting a whole gasket set..

the main thing that worries me is the crank seals.. i just wanted to hopefully find a write up or walk through on how to do this stuff..

by the way d!ck this is bubbles from FTWimports.. i will be calling you later tonight about the fan shroud

Buy the chilton's manual at any autoparts store for the 240sx, or download the factory service manual (FSM) somewhere around this website (you can do a search for it). Both should have step by step procedures of everything.

if youre just doing gaskets a chiltons or the fsm should be fine. i was under the assumption you would be doing piston rings, valve seals etc...

i forgot to look last night, i remember having one so yes do call and i will check my parts bin again.
