my ultimate plan is to put turbo ls2 in my s30 but its going to be a few years at least. in the mean time i'd like to put a l28et in so i'm looking for a cheap donor car w/ a good drivetrain to get me by until then.

i'm looking for something that i could use to swap the engine, transmission, wiring and r200 assembly and still be able to part out the rest of the car to get as much of my money back as possible. i'm in lubbock texas and cant find anything close so i was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction...

looking to spend about 1500 or so initially.

I searched New Mexico, Arizona, California on Craigs list. You will see a few pop up every now and then.

i havent checked the salvage yards yet but i have checked craigslist... some of those guys are a few screws loose w/ how much they are asking!

and unfortunately we dont have any local zcar clubs that i know of. lubbock is like a bastard town when it comes to perfotmance cars... we are close to 300k in population and have no roadcourse within 5 hours and no dragstrip within 2 hours.... its sad actually

I know Lubbock use to have a drag strip. Do we not have one anymore? I know there are two dirt ovals but been forever since I have been out to them. But yep no zclub here. Even other people that I know with zcars are out of luck as well on that.

they are in some lawsuit/rebuild at the idalou track and the way its looking it wont be done for at least another 2-3 years.

we should work on getting a local zcar club put together. racelubbock.com would be a good place to start

That's right. Something like they repaved it and the owners didnt pay up or something along those lines. Forgot about that.
