What does that mean?Q451990 wrote:I think a pop quiz would get you laughed out of any dealership!
It means if you actually walked into a dealership's service bay, said "line up boys, I've got a pop quiz for you - and if you pass you get to work on my 20 year old Q" the laughter would cause serious hearing loss! It's a funny mental image though!Paul Wall wrote:What does that mean?
Probably because they are Klingons and you were looking for Vulcans for the Q45 mind meld. Try Smyrna.shanemasters1 wrote:

You just said you read that he charges a fee for the questions but you turn around and ask if he can post it here for so the WHOLE world can see it for FREEPaul Wall wrote:See page BF-32 in the 1994 Q45 service manual: http://Nicoclub.com/FSM/Q45
I once read somewhere Q45tech said that there were a set of questions (20 or so?) that he could ask to prove the "technician" in question is really a factory trained back in 1989 Infiniti tech. Shame I forgot where the post was located but he also said he would charge a fee so a credit card was required at the beginning of the call.
Q45tech do you mind posting the questions to see how good we are?
LMAO!!!!Q451990 wrote:

Agree, it has become just a low cost way of transportation for recent new owners, who are generally young, low income or college kids..... not too many middle agwe high wage earners still driving 15+ year old Infinitis.....even though plenty of older weallthy people hang on to their similar aged Mercedes models....strangeQ45tech wrote:Generally the THRILL IS GONE and 97.3% [sic] of US 90-96 Q45 owners are broke and cannot afford to maintain their vehicles to even minimal safe standards.
That means all but 1,000+- in US are dangerous to get near on the road.
As a result the technicans have quit the brand/model as it is no longer a source of significant income. They may still work on units but their heart has long departed.
I can't blame them... every time I visit the pull-a-part I leave in a funk thinking that the Qs I just saw were driving the same roads I use a few weeks ago.Q45tech wrote: They may still work on units but their heart has long departed.
Kind of hoping he changed his mind and posted them for free or emailed me them from a one time use email address, private phone number....NightRiderQ45 wrote:You just said you read that he charges a fee for the questions but you turn around and ask if he can post it here for so the WHOLE world can see it for FREE
Even though its true for some I find that kind of offensive for those who are as dedicated as me.qship96 wrote:

I'd say its more true than untrue. When I was a broke undergraduate (I'm still an undergrad, but not as broke ) I spent every last penny and every waking moment trying to catch up on neglected maintenance on my '92 Q -- neglect from the last owner as well as myself.Paul Wall wrote:Even though its true for some I find that kind of offensive for those who are as dedicated as me.
