I don't know if something like an engine cover is application specific to a particular transversely mounted engine like the Altima Coupe and the VQ engines. A carbon fiber cover is something I've been looking for a while now, but seeing how the car is so new to the market I don't expect anything A/C related to made. Can anyone help with whether one exists or if something is universal.

Since there are no weight savings in a CF engine cover, I would suggest finding a custom shop to do an overlay on yours. It'll be significantly cheaper that way.

EDIT: By "overlay", I'm referring to a wrap...not a bloody sticker!

Just looking to clean up the engine bay…. Either that or paint it, problem is I don't want it to look cheap with an overlay of some kind. Granted there's nothing special about having one, I've been accustom to the option on past cars.

you can actually get your engine cover wrapped in real carbon fiber, NOT an overlay... an overlay would not stand up to that kind of heat

ya a carbon fiber engine cover would be real nice, with a chrome intake..... it'll make the engine bay a little more nicer. Stillen has them for the 350z and i know it wont fit on the altima coupe but maybe stillen will make one for the altima coupe in the near future? it's something i want too but theres a whole list of things i want and the engine cover is like #10 on the list lol so i'm ok with waiting a while

Does "overlay" necessarily denote it being a sticker? When I mentioned "overlay" I was referring to a wrap...I assumed it was much the same thing. Either way, there's a guy here in Calgary that will wrap damn near anything in real CF......even toilet seats.

Next summer, I'll be getting my engine cover wrapped as well as select interior bits 'n pieces...and maybe my front splitter as well...

Not interested at all in an overlay but it's not a bad idea for those who really want the look. I've got a ton of stuff done and pretty much at a standstill until someone releases some headers and race pipes. The thought of getting them done custom has crossed my mind but my pocket book does not agree. Just trying to focus in on some cosmetic engine dressing in the mean time while I wait patiently.

There's something called magical carbon. It's real carbon fiber with an adhesive film for DIY. Pretty interesting, you can make anything CF.
