somewhere around 6500-8000...

Most likely going to end up with a 1994 or 1995.. I dont want to go earlier than that due to the ugly front end..

What things should I be looking for? I'm not terribly worried about mileage becasue I havent seen a Q with any running problems (ive been a valet for 7 years, and several of the Q's ive parked from salesmen had 325K+ miles and everything works (car was a 1996 and the interior adn exterior were perfect..).

What other stuff should i look for that are specifically Q..

Ugly front end? I beg to differ... How about unique? I've had people stop me and say they liked it.

yeah really, i might have to take offense!!!! LOL to each their own, but i CONSTANTLY get compliments on my 90Q with the "ugly" front end! LOL most people think it's a 99 or 2000, always love the looks on their faces when they hear it's a 90.

anyway,,,where are you located??? just saw a 95 for sale in the new jersey area. emerald green ext. and low miles.

I have seen pristine 96Q [external and interiors] literally destroyed by poor oil change habits...........worthless piles of junk at only 130,000 miles in 7 years.

300,000 miles is doable with good maintenance habits! Assuming one drives 40,000 miles per year [mostly interstates].......kind of like 8 years is the pivot point.

Most used cars are sold when the owners get a report that $3,000-$5,000 is need to fix a few problems they have put off.Or the AC quits or the transmission gets upset, or the car over heats.

We hear it all the time when we provide a complete list to return the cars to as near new.........." valve cover leaks, plenum hoses and knock sensors, new suspension, new shocks, transmission mount brakes ~~~$4,000............."Heck I'll just sell it, know any suckers?.

Lots of difference in valet- ing a car and driving one on an 8 hour trip at 80 mph.

Don't think Q are alone we see the same but just different problems on LS400.

If you are on a budget always make sure you have an extra $3,000 after paying for the car.

Good strategy. Get the Infiniti dealer service report by submitting the VIN and have a senior Infiniti service technician inspect it.

Stay away from the "a" models. The suspension is really expensive to rebuild, I hear.

I found a 1995, with about 87,000, in Del Rey Beach. The guy wants $6,600 but I am trying to get it for under $6,000

I ahve been searcinig eBay.

Calling Infiniti, with the VIN # is a great idea. They are really nice, and will read the entire history to you over the phone.

I don't know about dealer giving you service history just like that. You should ask it through owner only. That's what dealers told me when I was looking for my Q. They protect it like medical records, hehe. If you're unable to get history - stay away.

Dealers have alwasy been forthcoming with my requests. Good place to build a relationship with a service writer.

History is all well and good but current condition is what counts, that way you know whether it is $3,000 or $5,000 p[or $10,000] to restore to brand new operating condition...........it a 10 year old car after all - regardless of mileage with $44,000 in depreciation.
