LOOKING AT BUYING A MAXIMA!

I am looking at a 2000 Nissan Maxima GLE tomorrow that has 167,000 miles on it, I am going to have a pre-sale inspection done on it before I purchase. I offered him $1800 and he agreed to this price and the inspection. Was initially $2500. Pictures show minor cosmetic damage, he just had the inside re-upolstered. Looks good, I'll get more info tomorrow.

Seems like a lot of miles but for the condition and price I wonder if it is a good deal? What should I look for when I inspect it myself and during the test drive?

They are great cars but that is still enough miles where anything (and everything) could be wrong.
Obviously the engine and trans are your biggest concern.
Signs of a lot of work could be worse than just a good clean high mileage driver.
