Looking at buying a 1990 Q45... Just some questions.

G'day, I've been looking at buying myself a 1990 (So I've been told) Q45 and I have a few questions...1. Is it a 1990 if it has the adjustable suspension? (Normal and High settings on the knob on the console)2. Does the later model bonnet (The first with a grille) fit to the 1990? The look of the '90 is ****house, IT NEEDS A GRILLE!!!3. How hard is it to find parts for the 1990? (It needs a passenger side window regulator)4. What other mods are available... I.E: Headlights, taillights?and finally5. Can I use the LHD HVAC control etc to replace the current RHD parts (I can't read Japanese!)6. Can I fit the auto dip reverse mirrors to the earlier model (They're cool)The vehicle seems pretty neat, stock as a rock apart from a set of 18's and only has around 105,000 km (65,000 miles) on the ODO, it even has the original Bose sound system ( ) still.Thanks in advance for any help!-Bazza.

1.) Could well be. JDM are slightly different thean US models.2.) Then obtain a later model if you are not proud to represent the buckle.3.) Easy in the US, but it will get more difficult as time passes.4.) Many on JDM models, especially in later years and on President models. 5.) That is a good question. One would have to compare the part and wiring diagrams from the respective FSM. Does this car have rear air? That might indicate incompatibility.6.) Don't think so.

Nothing wrong with a well functioning Bose unless you think Techno or Hip Hop is music.

Be sure to check the timing chain guides as they will have to be updated to the newer metal backed ones or else it is goodbye engine.
