Hi Guys and Gals,

My daughter has found a 2006 G35 with 70K miles for $14,500.

I have an 06 M35 which i bought used with 52K miles that has served me very well. No problems at all and now at 108K.

Are there any known issues with the 06 G's and particularly with the AWD model? Thanks in advance for any comments.

Is it a manual? Some 6MTs do have an issue with oil consumption. All in all a pretty solid car.

No its automatic. Were there some brake issues with the G or was that earlier models?

They offered the G35x in manual? Crap. I need to sell my rwd then. Or was that a sedan only thing? If so, nevermind.

no, I think the 06 X sedan was only an auto.
I don't think they've offered an X with MT yet.

my 05 rear brakes were gone at 20K.....seemed early to me.
I think they are a bit small for the size and causes some warping.
Would recommend replacing with a good set of ceramics.
I have been using Akebono Pro-Act and they've done great!

rear pads on the X models will go quicker than normal because they are utilized with the AWD system. (VDC uses the brakes too, but far less than the AWD) While the stock brakes stop great, they don't last long, and that was the case for my g35x and my g37x. Problem was solved by going after market.
