I forgot to look for the warranty book while at the dealer. Car has about $60,000 miles. When is this service due? Any issues I should look for in this vintage? transmission shifts fine, engine is quiet. Thank you. Dave.

I'm pretty sure the 2004 uses a timing chain not belt. Thus it's not something that will need to be changed at the "normal timing belt" 60-90k intervals.

In short, the chain should be good for 200k or more, assuming good maintenance.

My 95 has 170K miles and is running fine so far. If you do haveto have a new chain (depends on how hard you push it) thengo ahead and put a new water pump on too. Also there are some chain guides made of plastic? or something so you probablyshould replace them too. I looked at the schematics on mine anddont have it handy, but there is more than one chain in that areafor my car to change out since it is a DOHC. I havent gotten thatfar in my engine yet so I really dont have hands on knowledge.
