Hey everyone,

Newb to the board but trying to do research on a possible M35. Appears to be a Sport based on the wheels and M35S badge on the rear. Carfax shows one owner and meticulous scheduled maintenance mostly at the dealership that sold it. The car is now at a new Infiniti dealer and appears to be very clean inside and outside

The dealer listed price is $15,988. Does this seem reasonable for an 08 that was previously owned by an older gentleman? Do you think that a PPI is necessary if its being sold at an Infiniti dealership or would you say their checks would qualify as the PPI?

I have seen to check the seat bracket but is there anything else to ask about or look at before pulling the trigger?

I have always loved this body style and looking to come from a 2011 VW GTI for a little more luxury and space.

Thanks in advance!

The price seems about right, but always try to haggle with a dealership. Low miles with a service history confirmed with Carfax makes this one an almost no-brainer. I have one of these- 08 M35 Sport- after my 08 M45x was totaled last year. I really don't miss the V8....the M35 seems about 8.5/10 in terms of power. And the Rear Active Steer is a blast with the 19" rims. I'd do a PPI just for some peace of mind. It always is worth it to have an experienced set of eyes check everything out. I'd double check if the serpentine belt and transmission fluids have been changed. These are very fun and reliable cars!

The 2008 is the first year they changed the dash to the lovely blue-white colors instead of amber. I had an 07 with the amber and now have an 09 and love the dash colors. I believe the 08 also has the HR engine and 7 speed gear box which improves mpg on long trips. You didn't mention which optional packages it has.
The price seems slightly high to me, but if it really IS well cared for and has options like the upgraded Bose surround, NAV, and tech packages, I would be willing to spend a bit more. The thing with these cars is maintenance. If properly maintained, they run forever. If you're cheap with parts or ignore regular upkeep, you roll the dice. I assume that an 'older gentleman may have been more likely to have the money to properly maintain the car and the dealer would be able to confirm that.
However, it it only has the basic stereo, no NAV, etc .... I would pass on it.

08 still has 5 gears. its an S so has the sport package with bigger tires and rear steering . Appears to have nav and i think bose as well but not the higher package that has bose with speakers in the front seat shoulders or adaptive cruise control.

Dealer confirmed all scheduled maintenance performed and current dealer did rotors, rear brake pads and oil change . Car was in schedule 1 maintenance plan Looking to have them do transmission fluid change as well as replace foggy passenger side headlight houseing if i pull the trigger. Older gentleman seems to confirm timely care of the car.
