Wow you got worked over. Hope you didn't pay too much for the car. Without knowing what is actually done to the engine, if anything, it might not be safe/cost effective to turbo.

The chances that your car is putting down 245 NA hp are slim to none.

How do you know that youv got forged internals and cams?

The thing is if he really built it for NA he would have raised the compression which makes boosting it dangerous. Do a compression check and see where your at, that will tell you if hes done anything to the bottom end. Maybe..

Also its all about how much cash your willing to spend. Also, what your power goals are and will be for the future. We cant really tell you which is the 'best' kit..

Yeah, I would definitely want some documentation to all the upgrades. If he can't provide this, then I would assume he is not being honest with you, and that more than likely not much has been done. But you have definitely come to the right place to get info on turboing a ka.Check the stickies up top and you will find everything you need to know about what you need to go ka-t.First thing is to check your compression and make sure your car is mechanically sound, then you can go from there.

Honestly, there is no best kit. Our cars are pretty much pieced-together abominations of parts that are built specifically around what we are going to use the car for. With that said. Do as previously mentioned. Do a compression test, and try to get a little more info on the engine. Throw up a few pictures while you're at it. You never know..

i know that it has the forged internals because i talked to the guy who did all the work on the motor and he said it is true that it ready for a turbo and its mechanically sound.

A motor doesn't need to have forged internals to be ready to boost. There was one member that had about 500 to the wheels on a completely stock KA.

As for the guy claiming that it put 245 at the wheels, that's just a complete lie. He must have accidentally said 245 instead of 145.

So...how much DID you pay for the KA?

I put a 2000 HP engine in my 240 and i run D1 events with it.

This one time i raced a f16 and smoked its ***, till he hit the after burners and got a few plane lengths ahead of me.

Let me say this again. YOU GOT WORKED. Now if you throw in a 100shot of N02 then ok. I know a guy that has done that a few times. ka24de puts out around 130 if manual at the wheels and running in good condition. So now with exhaust intake and ecu tune leaning out th emap and maybe some advaned timing you got maybe 150-160 Said it had cams but it's na so maybe 8-15 but nice pull to redline then if he has it high compression you can ge tmore but then it's not ready for turbo or very small psi. Get some receipts or part #'s on what he has done. until then YOU GOT WORKEDWe have countless threads of people just trying to break over 200rwhp

I hate to do this, but I can only read so much crap before I throw up in my mouth. I'm going to list a couple facts, then close this forever.

NO naturally aspirated ka24de has ever made over 200WHP...ever.

Some people should never touch a computer again.

The same people mentioned above should have their drivers licenses revoked forever.

Those are the only facts in this thread. Do not start a thread a like this again. Thanks for playing...
