I've owned Nissan's in the past.

Had a 91 I bought new. Owned it for 2 years. Good truck...

I now own a 85 KC 720 4x4 with a KA24E swap... nice truck. My son drives it.

So I've sold my Chevy K2500 and looking at a 98 Frontier KC 4x4 with 116k on the odemeter. 4 cyl/5 speed for $4k

This seem like a reasonable deal?

Are these trucks as tough as the 720's and D21's?

I read somewhere (can't remember so much where) that you can only shift into 4hi going less than 25mph... wtf is up with that? That's like going back to the 1950's... my rock crawler with the tried and tru NP205 that was designed in the 60's can go into 4wd high at 60mph... say it ain't so..

Just looking for some feedback.

Thanks,
JS

Frontier is a good truck. I am about 7 months away from going to buy one. Always liked the look. If you liked you Hardbody and your 720 then you will like the Frontier, same frame ideas underneath.

Well that kinda sucks.. Not a show stopper, but definitely a drag...

A '98 will have manual hubs. Good little trucks. You'll want a steering upgrade if you ever lift it.
