The oem Michelin XGTV were $126, the 1994 Dunlop D80V4 were $109........the other premium performance ties ranged from $101 to $142..............in 215/65/15. The junk tires were $55-70

Very strange that today you can purchase what is supposedly a premium tire for $70 and get a $75 gift certificate for 4 tires.

Only Michelin is priced about the same in deflated dollars for the V or H.

Were they able to reduce costs by 22% in the 9 years or are you getting less tire for the same money.

With so many cars nowadays coming with 17 and 18 inch rims and tires, the prices of 15 and 16 inch tires have come down. I remember back in the early 90's when 55 series tires were considered low profile. Now with 40 and 45 series being considered low profile I guess making and designing 55 series tires is easier and cheaper.
