It's been a long time, but I finally found some S14 kouki tail lights. Today, the part arrived from Ontario (after a few days of waiting), and I got it installed with fellow Niconaught Asoomal. And I must say. . . It looks really great.

Here's the before picture:

And here's the after picture:

Hope you guys enjoy it as much as myself! PAYCE!

Thanks for the feedback man! I actually like the amber tho. To me at least, it gives the tails more character. I never liked it all red, looks too. . Weird.

I second this opinion. I saw someone photoshop s13 kouki tails all red on a recent thread and they looked terrible.

The s14 kouki tails however are different, so the outcome of the "red conversion" might turn out better.

You're dead wrong buddy. . . Here is how it looks like when done on an S14 kouki tail light. . . Pure utter garbage. But then again, that's just my opinion.

Oh wow... That does look terrible. About as bad as all red s13 koukis. Good thing your not modding them :bigthumb:
I haven't seen it done before, but I thought the outcome might be better.
Anyway, your koukis look nice the way they are.

Hahaha the cardomain link you posted is a friend of mine's car, the one I was thinking of when I made the suggestion. It looks a lot better in person, but it's not for everyone.

Looks good either way!

Looks good man! I kinda like the look of it either way really. The full red tails would probably look really good on a black car as were i think the amber compliments your green 240 well.

Zenki For The Win! Whatever, at least I have another path of replay ability that I can take down the road if i get bored with the zenki front (or if i wreck the front).

Yeah man, you're actually right. I just realized it. All those S14's have the similar color code that mine has, so it looks weird. The amber does compliment my cars green (as should it compliment theirs). But yea, if it was all red on a black S14, that might actually look good.

Correct me if i'm wrong. . But didn't you almost install the Kouki front on your car, and talked about how you always wanted to go Kouki? Talk about identity crisis. . .

At least I am going to stick with the Zenki front. Plus the only reason I have kouki skirts is because I wanna go with an OEM flow, and not some aftermarket crap. And the kouki tails? It's just a personal opinion and preference over the Zenki tails.

This statement is opinionated.

Kinda like Mac vs. PC.

It's up to personal preference.

Disregarding if I like this mod or not... It looks like your tail lights are lower than the center piece... Hence making the entire thing look kinda ugly because it's not lined up correctly. You should look into fixing that. :)

Yeah, the trunk never sat low, it always sat 0.00001 mm's higher (on the right side). I'll look into trying to make it a bit lower. Anybody have any suggestions on how to achieve that?

By the way, those top pictures really screw the lines up, and make them seem worse then what they really are (because they're blurry). Here is a clear picture, as you can see, it's very minor.
