Looks good.

This is how I ran mine and just cut the bumper support.

Catches air just fine and fits perfectly behind the air dam.

Stock turbo.. who cares if it gets blown up ? a bb t28 with t25 flange is about US$350-400 to buy...

Plus, my turbo has a stock 10 pound actuator, which atm is running 11 pound with the hks dump pipe and a full 3 inch stright through exhaust..

I'm just gunna cut the **** outta my stock bar, who cares, it's just a nissan.. stock bumpers are a dime a dozen..

i figure, the 3 inch inlet/outlet on it, and my thorttle body bering 3 inchj, i'll just go 3 inch piping to save hassles and ****.. who gives a flying **** about lag..

Very cool

But in all seriousness, by reading your reply and such...is it more of a bling item for you (so you can say "look I have a huge FMIC") or is it a stepping stone for bigger things later so you don't have to upgrade again? Because it is definately overkill for your setup.

So your running 11 psi at the turbo? That means your probably getting about7-8psi to the TB. If you got 11psi at the TB then your probably running around 14-15psi at the turbo which is out of the efficency range. Not flaming just trying to give ya a heads up.

Any intercooler that big is gunna have a lot of pressure loss and you really won't gain anything over a smaller one, just more weight and pressure loss

Alright, for those who don;t know, heres my theory on the way i'm doing up my car..

First i wanted the car to handle.. so in went a set of JIC Coilovers, Front and Rear Strut braces, and some wider tread..

Next, was my brakes... standard Ca18 brakes are complete ****.. so in went the SR20 brakes, cause why go fast when you got no where to stop ??

Next was getting the exhaust to flow freely.. thats where a Hks dump pipe with the divorced chamber, and full 3 inch came in..

A bit problem with CA's is not enough fuel.. i put mine on the dyno with a non-turbo fuel pump, and it churned 147rwhp on 11 pound while leaning the **** out.. so i have changed my fuel pump to a Walbro 255l/hour jobbie, and i have R32 GTR injectors on order ATM..

( can anyone guess here, that i am doing this in stages ???)

Next is the 'cooler, the intake and exhaust pipes.. they are extremely restrictive, so if i change them, they'll be able to flow more air too, right ??

then after that, i'll be doing a stainless steel exhaust manifold, and a larger turbo ( either the t28, or i'll just step up and go T3)..

Now your going to ask, why have i done it this way ????

Because first you need a car to handle well.. then you need it to stop.. Turbos flow more freely with a non-restrictive exhaust.. car needs fuel before i can pump more boost.. a larger 'cooler will get me lower intake temps, and let it flow more freely too.. and then the turbo..

if i did it like a lot of you guys, and put the big turbo on first, then i woulda found all these other little problems next.. and that wouldn't be fun., ruinning 14 pound on the dyno, first go, leaning out and blowing stuff up, then would it ?

there is a lot of method in my madness.. i guess i just haven't explained it yet..

Pete.

There have been good arguments from both sides of the fench that dedate wheater there is a presure loss and how great it is. I don't think it will be that big of deal but don't feel like busting out my math skills to prove it or anything

1 + 1 = a window..

There'll be pressure drop alright.. but until a new compressor and other toys come into play.. not everyone has the money to throw every part they need on at once, do they ?

nope, but i would wait till you get a bigger turbo before droping the big intercooler. Nothing wrong with buying parts at a time. Just like my parts i have.

Wheels,cf hood, new suspention. I am not droping it in untill my ****ty lookin' car gets painted.

It would look silly to have all that fancy stuff on a crappy lookin' car now wouldn't it?

Well thats the other thing.. i'm not a fan of bodykits or rims.. i'm trying to keep the car as stock looking as possible.. i'm thinking of painting the 'cooler black...
