Hi,I'm looking forward to going to the track June 21st and I'mlooking forward to capturing most of my runs and others on video.

I started looking into making an in car video mount, and here'swhat I made. Cost me $8US for the tube/bolts/nuts/washer fromHome Depot. My bro's video camera is havin probs, thus the fuzzy first pic. :(

Here's a sample video I made at 10:30pm since I was eager totest the mount out: http://240sx.cubicdesign.com/videos/june3/cammount1.wmv

And the pics:

Bye!

wow, very nice! I would have thought it would be more bumpy, but that thing looks to be very stable! Can't wait to see it put to the test :D

Very cool.

Now put a gyroscope between the camera and the mounting bar and that thing won't vibrate at all... :D

Hi,I guess I won't know how stable it is until I do some hardcorners. I added some padding where it bolts up for extracushioning, but so far, it seems VERY sturdy.

I'm gonna grab some more videos today (daytime), but it'scloudy outside and might rain. Hrm, RAIN + RWD = FUN! :D

Gonad, I thought you were going to the NICO meet June 21st/22nd, I didn't even bother to look at your location....my bad, lol.

I would love to buy one, but I don't own a camera so it would be not worth it....well yet at least..........

sorry about that, lol

Hi,Well that's why I want to see if I can get a wide angle lense.

I've seen videos (mainly drift videos) with in car camera mountsand they've got fisheye lense. Here's a frame from one of thevideos:

Hi,It's not hard to make. All you need are:- 36" x 3/4" square aluminum tubing- 4 bolts and 4 nuts (3/4" is good)- Drill- Hack saw- Bolt and additional hardware required to mount camera.

It's not that hard to make. Really. Just cut the 36" tubingat the 13" mark and the rest is pretty straight forward. Justremember to tape the area you are cutting and drilling.

Hrm, maybe I should make a dozen of these and sell em oneBay. :D

Here's a professional made piece that goes for $139MSRP.http://www.eurotuner.com/howto/99762/

The majority of it looks easy but what i would have a hard time with is where the camera mounts to the metal tubing... any details on that?

Hi,Go buy a tripod for $25 or so and take the top piece that'sused for tilting/rotating the camera on the tripod.

That's what I have. The piece mounted on the metal tubing(onto which the camera mounts) is from a tripod.

BestBuy has them for $25 but I'm sure you can find em cheaperat garage sales or other shops:http://www.bestbuy.com/Detail....01212

Here's the video:http://240sx.cubicdesign.com/videos/jun ... 1_full.wmv

Hi,That loud noise at 2:44 was just a recess in the road. You cannotice that when I take the turn at the lights, the road getsreally dark a little up ahead.

The city is just renovating the road in that area, and there's onemore layer (couple inch worth) of road to lay out.

Bye!

Now,

All you do is get a turbo kit, boost your car up to 15psi, and mount the camera so it points backwards, so you can film every car you beat when they're behind you.

:P

Nick.
