Had to jump on them cause I knew they would go fast, pretty cheap for a complete set too. What do you guys think?

why did you buy those, I cant believe someone would spend money on those......j/k lol......

Nice find honestly, I would have done the same thing if I found them.

At least get your car tuned before and after so the ca world can see what kind of power gains can be had with those.

Hadn't planned on tuning it at all really until I get a new turbo, I was just gonna throw them on. I already have an os giken twin plate clutch/lightened flywheel and I'm pretty sure the crank was machined and lightened before I got it because it looks brand new and there is fresh crosshatching on it, thats just an assumption though, my other CA didn't have any crosshatching on the crank. The inside of the motor is really clean, all still silver, not any of the tan burnt oil or anything, the only part of the block and head that doesn't look new is the rods, they are a little discolored. Compressions perfect, oil pressure is great, etc, I got lucky with this one. Hopefully these will compliment the other mods nicely.

Don't know, he said he got them machined as light weight copies of the original pullies, they aren't underdrive pullies, just lightened. Ive had the same kind on my last 2 cars and never had any kind of problems though.

On a side note, the crank pulley doesn't have any timing marks on it, anybody have any ideas on how I could get some accurate marks transfered over to it?

i'd line up the keyways and mark the marks with a marker then either file notches in it or use a dremel to make notches

I'm not really to sure the pulley I have right now is accurate. It is possible to "spin" CA pullies, right? They are put together with the rubber connecting piece on the inside so it is possible for the timing marks to be off. I had a huge problem with this on the last 4age I built.

they look quite nice, and less weight wont hurt anyone, u will definetly gain something, not really noticeable but something anyway, some noticeable gain might come from machining a samaller crankshaft one. anyway they look really good and definetely worth the buy.

I don't really think an underdrive aluminum would make enough of a difference compared to the regular aluminum to be worth the cost of getting it made. Compared to stock, it would definitly be alot better, but compared to one thats already lightened aluminum, I don't really know. Plus I don't really want to be the first to expirement with an underdrive pulley, lol, not unless I know its not going to cause any problems with the water pump, etc. Thats why I kinda like that these are just lightened stock size.

I am almost posative that the guy selling those has put a CA in a Datsun 510. I dont know why he doesnt come around here. He also did the AWD SR20 PulsarNX.

I have a one off lightweight underdrive crank pulley. No problems from it. Never had a DET without it so i dotn know how it compares though.

Just got done installing them, havn't drove it much but it does rev noticably faster, the throttle response has definitly improved as well. They weigh less than half of what the stock pullies weigh, around 4lbs for all 4 of them. Pretty nice so far.

I'm fairly certain he sold the 510. It was beautifully engineered.
