Called him up and he is going to do a refund.

Just to you guys that are wanting to buy a holset turbo, be as explanatory as you can when you are trying to buy one, and ask them the most Sure fire questions to make sure you are getting the right one, i am looking at another one, and asked the dude to show me everything so i can confirm it as a HX35/40..

Be careful

I have a bunch of friends in the cummins performance industry (one who owns a turbo shop and does a bunch of turbo upgrades) so if any of you guys are having trouble finding one let me know and I can probably hook you up.

alright man, i found one on ebay, but its not a 35/40, just a 40, but i am thinking of going with the bullseye housing, i think its a .63 ar? so i am deffinately going with the bullseye housing, so what do you guys think about me just going with a HX40? i mean its not like it will be the end of the world, if i dont go with a 35/40, cause basically the HX35/40 is the same as the GT35/40r just not ball bearing, and a different brand, and the HX40 is like the GT40r series, and a lot of RB guys are running those, so i think a HX40 with a .63 AR, will be ok,

Cause what would .63 ar be equivalent to in cm? 10? 12?

let me know what you guys think.

I doubt your ever going to find an already put together HX35/40 hybrid anywhere. I had to buy two turbo's and put one together. It's not hard to do. Buy the 40, than look for a 35. I think I see 35's go for around 100 on ebay a lot.

As far as the turbines go, what do you do with the car? Drag? Drift? How much are you planning to push the motor? The hybrid has more than enough umph to pop my motor at it's current completly stock state. Maybe with the new motor I'm putting in (stock, but has a 1.2 headgasket, ARP headstuds, cams, and a RB26 intake/ITB adapter setup ) I might run out of turbo because the exhaust side is choking it. I guess I'll find out. If your not going to push it farther, your just going to have lag for no reason. I wouldn't know how mush laggier. Maybe 500rpm or so? Just a guess. Would it be acceptable for a drag racer? I think so. Would I spend another $100 to put on the hybrid, yup. Again, unless you are building a nasty motor and plan to make 600hp.

if you already have the hx40, why not just use it; such a waste to throw out the hot side

Ok, Im the one that sold him the turbo. I also give him my personal phone number when he was first interested in the turbo. I also told him I knew nothing about Holset turbos, a friend of mine owed me some cash and he gave this to me for the debt he owed. He was the one who informed me of what kinda turbo this was suppose to be. I explained to Cameron that I knew nothing on Holset turbos, but whatever questions he asked I would answer to the best of my abilities. The pics that are up above are not from the auction, but pics he asked me to take and send him via email. Cameron received the turbo the day after xmas, he asked if I would ship it via UPS instead of DHL, I ate the $10 dollars extra it cost me to ship it UPS to do so. I was unaware of anything on the turbo or that he was unhappy with the turbo until I received a phone call on 12/31 around 8 o'clock. We had a 30 minute conversation and I told him I had no problem giving him a refund. Ive since talked to him again this evening, and weve worked out the arrangements on the turbo. Not to mention Im the one who contacted him.

So Im amazed at how people think a guy who has almost 175 100% positive feedback, gave the guy his personal contact number, before the auction was over, and offered to give the guy a refund the minute he found out that a mistake was made is a bad seller. A mistake was made and it was handled. I guess some people are just quick to jump to one side of a story.

I really didnt want to get into this thread, hell no one on here even knew it was me until I just posted that Im the one that sold it to him. Im a stand up guy, and I wanted it to be on record.

Seth, it took some nuts to do that man, and im sorry if i ever offended you in what i typed. Right after the issue was resolved you saw where i edited my posts, and if i did say anything, it was just cause i was pissed off, and didnt know what to do.. And Guys Seth Is a Truely Good guy, Hell, i would buy from him again, if i see need be. Next time ill be more Explanatory . Oh And the Turbo is back up on ebay now, if anyone is interested.

Here is the Link.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...5.lVI

But, Seriously i jumped to conclusions too quickly on this, mainly cause i was mad that this had to happen.. not mad at you.. and i am sorry that i might have provoked some other comments out of some of the other dudes on here, but i would hope that you could forgive me since this issue has been resolved, I mean it was an Honest Mistake between both of us, No ones perfect.. And if i would have known that ID plate was there, i would have to you to scratch it off, but iit looked like it was gone, so my bad on that part. But Like i said, im sorry it had to happen, it was not in either of our intentions, and i would hope that this doesnt have to happen to either of us again. Just a lesson to everyone. Ask many many questions and be careful. Because if it had happened to you, you might not have the chance to work things out with as cool a dude as Seth here.

Hope i can sell that turbo.

As i just bought a new one off ebay.. A WH1E, brand new, and i'm going to just get a Bullseye housing for an HX40, and run it like that..

Your a good Man Seth,

Stay cool.

I got mine out today for a test drive on stock injectors and 12lbs. It spools right around 3200 rpms but as soon as it hits that 12lbs it fuel cuts which is what i expected. Im upgrading to a set of 525cc inj that I have sitting around I wanna go with 650's in the long run but I got the 525's so i'll give them a shot.
