Leather S14 seats out of a salvage yard. The best part is that it only cost me $60 for the pair plus gas to drive to greensboro and pick them up.

For being in a junked car, the seats are in good shape. The leather shrunk at the bottome of each bucket, and popped the seams in the same place. Only a few patches of the leather is torn up, so repair costs is only going to be in the $200 ballpark. Since I have to replace the center portions of the bucket, I'm gonna mimic the cloth seat's two tone style and get a charcoal grey leather sewn in to match the door panels.

i am definitely impressed with them. And I'll be even happier once I get them fixed up. I finally don't have to brace myself with my door when I take a turn.

The original plan was to reupholster them in cloth, but I decided I wanted to drive back to Virginia from Greensboro with them in, and after a two hour trip, I decided that I would be a fool not to keep the leather.

You tightass.. you shoulda found some '32 GTR seats and thrown them in

BTW, Bart, what are the 2 switches on the centre console just under the lid mechanism ? must be one of them "added extras " for the 'murricans..

If you want S14 seats I am going to sell mine in a few months when I get my Bride seats, they are cloth though don't know if that matters (95 SE) but they are in great condition, no tears rips or holes. I would let them both go for $75

those are the switches for the quarter window regulators. The power mirror switch usually goes there, that's why the vert doesn't have power mirrors.

you should have stolen eon's seats for me and shipped them over. along with some front end body panels for me so i can do my sil conversion

I'd re-fabric them in a fabric like the bride seats. They will hold much better. I find I slide out of the leather S14 seats way too easily. Once I get some more cash I'm gonna redo mine with black and grey to match the door panel as well.

Good find and good luck on the reupolstry(SP?).

JV.

i was gonna go cloth originally, but the 2 hour trip from Greensboro really changed my mind. Plus I save money by keeping the cloth seats. The shop I normally use for upholstery would charge around $300 to cloth both of my seats. Now I have an extra $100 or so.

Pete, our mirrors don't fold like the JDM ones do. I installed USDM power mirrors, so I don't get the folding action to make me a jet plane

S14 seats are much better than S13 seats anyday. Leather doesn't go well with my car though. Good find.
