Thing sounds sick. I can tell its a VH41 which makes it super cool.... Excellent find, thanks a bunch!

Time to get him onto NICO.

Lol I posted links to those videos ages ago! >_<:edit: Here, in this thread: zerothread?id=248955Posted halfway down... two months ago :p

Wes: It's a JDM Y32 VH41DE like mine... a friend of a friend knows the guy who owns that car.

He apparently blew up like five engines trying to twinturbo the thing, obviously stuffing up the tune.

Judging by the comment under the videos that it's being rebuilt yet again, I'd say he's probably ruined yet another motor!

It sounds like it, because I've seen plenty of impressive results from various VH engines around the world in various configurations, and it would seem to me they either tried running too much boost for the stock compression ratio, or stuffed up the timing and fueling something chronic.

the way we figured a t-70 at 17 psi would get us about 500 rwhp, stock motor of course. 800 and some odd? wow.

17psi on a stock motor????

I take it that's with the timing pulled right out?

10:1 compression, 17psi of boost, and severely retarded timing is NOT a safe tune. Backing off timing on a poor combination (too much boost for the compression ratio and fuel used) is just a band-aid and it only works within reason. If you run too little advance, really bad things start to happen, like cooking the the turbos, cracking valve seats, and cupping valves. The heat just gets way too much way too quick.
