well, if you are planning on building a sub for your home, go for it I guess. It is inexpensive and could be fun. I bet shipping would be about 15 bucks ground for it.

I am thinking about building a powered sub for my house. I'm thinking maybe a Cerwin Vega 15in or something like that.

Do you have any suggestions for a 12in or 15in sub with a sensitivity greater than 95Db 1w/1m? The amp "only" puts out 200W RMS it appears, but that will be more than enough if I use a high efficiency driver.

I'm thinking I could use a 15in CW subwoofer in a ported box with a Passive Radiator with a total swept volume at least 25% greater than that of the powered sub. This would help to prevent the PR from bottoming-out or over-extending, correct?

What do you think?

Should work fine. I'm using a 15+ year old Sherwood tuner/amp for my modest home system and have no problem driving the big nasty Studio Series JBL to above acceptable volume with no (audible) distortion.

Somebody out bid me. I was a little pissed off. So, I ran up his bid to around ~$30. I just kept re-bidding. I didn't mean to run his up, I actually wanted to buy it, so I kept bidding. Anyway. I guess I'll have to look for some other fun stuff/toys.
