HAHAHAHA It finally came!!! UPS didnt show up till 3:30pm and it was raining all day so i just sat around the house bouncing off the walls. But its finally here!!!

And just to compare the old vs the new....

Well its 10pm and i stopped working on it around 9pm, but its fully installed and bolted back together. I just now have to have someone start the car while i hold the impeller from moving to let oil circulate through it, then i can begin installing the boost controller.

FRSport RULES!!!!

unhook your CAS and crank the engine for a good 20 seconds about 3 times and you should have the oil system primed.

stupid question... but how would one hold the impeller wheel from moving to allow oil to circulate?

^ Don't do that Maz. Just crank it w/ the fuel pump fuse or the ignition coils unhooked.

I was told to let the car idle with the air intake tube disconnected and holding the impeller to keep it from moving for about 3 minutes to let the oil cycle through the turbo. The car will idle with the MAF off of it, so i was assuming this was an acceptable way of priming the turbo. Cranking it over with no fuel pump or no CAS, wouldnt there be air still coming out of the head trying to spin the turbo over? Isnt that what im trying to avoid, spinning the impeller until it gets oil pressure for the first time?

I always unhook the CAS, remove the plugs, pull the fuel pump fuse, and crank it over till the oil light goes out, then count to 10. Never had a problem.
