Tino... just buy my truck off me! It's not bad on gas... it's totally redneck, it kicks a$$ in the woods, it gets the girls all wet and excited (at least the ones I hang out with), and it's well taken care of for a beater! WAAYYYYY better ride than that Monte... hell, you could drive over that Monte in my truck.... so, what-da ya say?

Actually didnt you post that the corvette engines gets 20+ mpg? I'm kinda torn between a lifted truck or a lowridin monte.

edit: oh ya what kind of truck you got?

Actually... it's 28mpg with 405hp!!!!!

edit: oh ya what kind of truck you got?

It's a lifted (2" suspension 3" body) 1990 Mazda B2600i 4X4. It rides on 31"X11.5" Wildcat Mud Terrains on 15"X9" American Racing Black 8-spoke wheels. And... it's got one hell of an engine... 200K on it.. but it runs like a dream. The body has the obligatory dings and scratches that a good off-road truck should have... but nothing that can't be easily buffed out or painted over. This summer I am doing all the body work and making it pretty again so I can get top dollar when I sell it.

It is totally my baby... it has been with me since 94 (I think).. and it will destroy me to sell it... but I've got a few plans for its replacement. If you're actually interested I'll get some pics of it.... anything in particular you would like to see me run over with it? Maybe I'll stop by the junkyard and see if they'll let me drive it over a wrecked honda or something!

When I was a young milk mouth living in paradise (Detroit) we had a burgundy 77 Monte Carlo. I remember me, my brother and my cousins (total of 6 kids) fit nicely in the back seat. She got stolen right before Christmas.

Why would you want a car like that titty-o? Big change from the 240.

Wise words from a veritable sage. A GN would own that Monte for the same money. http://www.gnttype.org Go to their TRader section. Some serious hardware in there.

Seven grand is steep for a Monte that isn't even fuel injected. I might be able to see that if it had an LT1 or LS1, but not a carb'd "Corvette" engine. There are many Vettes that have boat anchors for engines.

Tino, if you're first true love is domestic cars and trucks, why on earth did you buy a 240sx? You need release your mullet from under your collar and follow your dreams, son. But a clean GN will go eventually up in value, that monte will not.

(also posting numerous threads on 240s that he wanted to get) That same person was also posting about seat covers and floor mats...well before he got the car. who is the mystery person? TINOtinos like the anna nicole show...funny (kinda) but in a unintended way....

lol 89 think man... yes... still that did not make it my decision at the time it was my parents. And again I was checking some out and most s13's have that seat rip so I was looking for a nice pair of seat covers, even the leather replaceable ones, where'd you get floor mats I've always hated them, and whats the point in bringing that back up?

Tino, I wasn't ragging on GN's, just the opposite. GN's are the only GM car made in that era that'll likely go up in value. Monte's, Cutlasses, uh...no. But you sure gave the impression you were itching for a 240sx before you got yours. What changed?

Well may as well, 1st off 89, why would my parents tell me to get a 240? they wanted something reliable and efficient so i chose the 240 because like I said It's my favorite reasonable import. I love my 240, any 240, I also love other makes and models as well. thats all.

If you want a monte that will go up in value get an aero coupe someone correct me if I'm wrong only about 2500 were made which was enough to use the design for the good old redneck racing league (nascar)
