I installed LBC's lighter 3/10 tail overlays on my car this weekend. Took me about an hour per side, not quite a perfect install as I ended up with a couple of wrinkles, i think i need a hotter blowdryer... Still love how they turned out.

Before overlays installed:I took the lights off to do it, I think this made it easier, here's the side by side comparison:

LBC Overlays are HERE! GTR NOW AVAILABLE!

Well I just installed LBC's tail GTR overlays in 6/10 and they took me about 1 1/2 hours to do per light! The material is as good as the one that Bat's sells so you be the judge. The curves on the rear lamps are hell and requires a lot of heating and stretching. I finally got it though. I'm sure the overlays will have to come off if and when Brandon decides to modify our rear lamps.

Here's pics of mine:

Thanks Guys. I really appreciate it. It was a biatch to install by myself and there was a lot of time I could of used another set of hands.

If you're gonna do this use a hairdryer not a heatgun. What you need to do first is do the backside first (where the brake and reverse lights are). Let it set up for about 15 minutes then do the top and sides. Make sure you have a spray bottle full with water and dish soap. You'll be spraying the crap out of it while you shrink and stretch the overlay. Also have a good squeegee wrapped in a wash cloth to smooth out the overlay making sure you get all the bubbles out. The most important thing is to have patience . it's gonna take awhile so you guys know. When it's all done, you'll be glad you took your time.

Ive got a set of LBCs GTR overlays en route. For those who were successful on the install, had you done anything like this before? I have no experience with vinyl and am going to try my luck, just trying to figure out what im getting myself into, hehe.

Brian, this thread belongs in the Interior/Exterior forum just like bluebatmobile's photo gallery! His thread weas moved there months ago, yet somehow, this has been in the much more widely viewed Altima Coupe section for 8 months now.... let's be fair Brian

actually my sig picture is exactly 600x200 ... plus three lines of text... but if text counts towards total sig size, then Surman, Dangeris, and... oh yeah, YOUR sig is too big also...

There are lots of people not abiding by the whole sig rule with no repercussions ...just my observation, although I think both you and LBC are now following the rule (don't know if either of you guys changed anything from before). I guess it's like many other things that are followed in the beginning and as time goes things start slipping...oh well.

This is some OG stuff lol... I remember the first time I met robert very clearly meeting Doc at the NY auto show... jeez, that was almost 2 years ago right? Then again when he was trying to convince me to eat some sort of fish taco in san diego lol...

Doc likes to keep me honest because he gets a deal from batmobile bc hes a local... when he comes back here to the east coast, I think I can turn him to an LBC-nut.
