Sup, my name is Taylor I'm 19 years old and I live in Riverside Cali. I've been a long time reader of the NICO boards for I'd say a good year. When I first registered about a year ago I deleted my conformation e-mail by mistake so my account was never active so I couldn't post… And I was lazy and never took the time to register with a new e-mail lol. But, I found this to be a good thing! I found myself wanting to ask a lot of newbie questions but was unable to post so it forced me to search and read what others posted, usually the same question's I wondered about. So an idea dawned on me :thinker , maybe NICO could rig it so that new posters well can't post for a certain time frame or something. As a result, many of the newbie questions that get asked all the time (believe me, I know I read the boards everyday) could be extinguished, or at least diminished. Anyways, just a thought, prolly can't be done, but who knows.

Now to my ride(s) When I turned 16 and was able to drive, my parents loaned me their truck, a 1987 V-6 Nissan 4x4 SE 5 SPD :ylsuper This truck rocks! It may not be fast, but while in 4x4 mode, this puppy can rip trees right out of the ground! All 4 wheels pulling! Great vehicle for a first driver. With the odo climbing to 230k (still running great btw) I decided I wanted a car! Something that was more fun to drive, something I could ride in for more than 20 minutes and not get uncomfortable. And certainly something with more power and better gas mileage. I wanted to stay in the Nissan camp because I was so impressed with its wonders. So, I started looking around and found out about the 240sx, then I found this site and learned a great deal about the 240 during my 7 month search for an S14a 5spd.

The search was a grueling process, but I’m glad I went through it because it gave me time to save money and buy the car myself so if my parents ever got upset with me, the aint takin my keys away! Around April 2003, my prayers were answered in the form of a 1997 240sx 5spd base model! Yeah, I know it's a base, but a 1997 240sx 5spd in SoCal. for $4800 bucks! And I paid for it all in cash, so no car payments! Can’t say the same for some of my other friends with RSX’s etc. Needless to say, I jumped on that like a hobo on a ham sandwich. The car was in PERFECT condition. I mean the body was absolutly gorgeous, the interior was immaculate and the lady I bought it from was the original owner who bought it brand new from the Nissan dealer. She kept a receipt of everything she ever had done to the car, which was all done at the dealer. Even the receipts where the dealer charged her $800 bucks for brakes! :shocked2

So, here's my baby, not much really, but I wash it and wax it at least two times a week, and baby her... that is unless my friends in their integras and civics roll up.. Then it's game time!

BTW, sorry if the images are too big :rolleyes

Hobo on a ham sandwich...I will have to remember that one! Good idea about the time limit, I doubt it'll ever happen though :( The risk of running people off is probably too much...Welcome to NICO! (even though you've really been here for a while)

Hey man that is a really nice, clean s14. Congrats on her. I paid cash for my '95 also. Makes me feel awesome to know that no one paid for this car but me. And you were one of the smartest newbies there are. Reading, researching, etc before you asked all the normal n00b questions. Thanks for doing that! :)

I love those wheels, what size and what company (model) makes them.

Altiman94 - The wheels are Exel - Race's and are 17x7. I bought them from http://www.wheelmax.com while they were running a special on them for all 4 wheels mounted and balanced on kumho rubber for $650 shipped! If your in the market for rims and tires, i HIGHLY suggest that site. They have best deals i could find on the internet. Here are some closer pictures of them right out of the box...
