I bought my 92Q in March of 1993. It had 1200 miles on it but had never been titled. Drove it about 140K till I sold it to my son for $1 in Oct of 2005. We pulled the front of the engine and replaced the chain guides (old ones were cracked). Lowered the car one and one half inches with new springs, new blue shocks, all new suspension pieces (adjustable) and put on a set of 17 inch wheels from a G35. My son drove the car another 10k till 3 weeks ago when I traveled from Kansas City to San Diego to pick up the car. (He has moved on to a Spec B Legacy.) We left San Diego at 2PM Friday and pulled into KC Sunday around 7AM. Set the cruise on 83 and got 22-24 MPG. Car handled GREAT in the mountains, the new OEM (thanks Wes) brake discs and pads worked flawlessly. 15 MPH switchbacks are a very good way to seat in your new brakes The only downside to this is the AC stopped working about a month ago so we did not have any air (other than 4 by 80). By KC the car was making a fair amount of noise from the front of the engine (oil was fine) and was shacking when RPM's got low. I thought maybe the harmonic balancer was bad but it seems to be stable. I started the car the other day and it ran and sounded fine......until I turned on the AC. LOUD screech and the smell of burning rubber. I am thinking that maybe I have a problem with the AC compressor..........

Compressor clutch, or pulley bearings? difficultto tell with no specific mention of maintenance of those tiems, and surely some has been performed.

Welcome to NICO. You came out well in the trade.
