Hey fellas, was thinking about getting one of these and wanted u guys input. I know u get little horse power gain from these and it is mostly for looks as well. Then again, I just might say the hell with it, thanks fellas

Bad idea, unfortunately.

Our Nissan/infiniti engines use hot-wire MAF systems. If micro-droplets of oil get into the air-stream, these deposit on the MAF, and, in time, burn themselves onto the sensors. Causing driveability problems.

Yeah, there are people who think this is not a problem ... but they have rarely kept the cars long enough to discover this issue over time. The usual comment seems to be "I keep it very dry - not dripping with oil", but the fact is that you will get some oil into the air flow no matter how hard you try!

Basically, the small gain in performance is simply not worth the risk - better to just change the stock air filters regularly! :yesnod
